If you really do have ADHD, it means that the prefrontal lobe of your brain doesn’t kick in or start up when you are trying to pay attention.

ADHD medication is meant to stimulate the prefrontal lobe so that you CAN pay attention.

If you don’t have ADHD, that means the prefrontal lobe functions the way that it’s meant to so the medication causes you to go into hyperdrive because it didn’t need the extra stimulation, to begin with.

As a result, people that don’t need ADHD medication become addicted to it because they get to the point of not being able to function without it or don’t want to function without it.
