Everything that happens each day at Adaptive Center is designed to be therapeutic for clients.
At the Adaptive Center we can help lighten your work load and ease your mind when it comes to your clients. We understand that you want the very best treatment outcomes for your patients and our facility provides just that. Our unique facility and treatment approach are rooted in proven therapeutic techniques.
Treatment in a comfortable, real world environment.
We offer addiction treatment in a comfortable, real world environment. Our unique brand of treatment takes place in an open environment. Clients live in a supervised environment that provides experience in every day living: shopping, eating in restaurants, and exercising under a system of accountability and strict monitoring in the form of personal supervision and drug testing.
Not a spa.
We do not offer high class amenities or a spa-like facility; what we do offer is treatment of addiction in a comfortable real world environment. Our unique brand of treatment occurs in an open community in downtown Miami. Clients can come and go with some restrictions.

Levels of Treatment
Adaptive Center offers Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient treatment (IOP) and Outpatient Treatment (OP) .
We provide Group and Individual Mindfulness Cognitive Psychotherapy—living skills Psychotherapy in the form of Morita, and Social Rhythm Psychotherapy—Meditation and Physical Training. We conduct psychiatric evaluation for our clients in order to ensure we are providing the right kind of services. We specialize in addiction medicine, and we offer medication management when appropriate.
Length of Stay
For the ultimate treatment experience we ask for a commitment of 30 days from our clients. However, because we provide true individualized treatment, clients’ needs sometimes have demanded stays lasting from 2 weeks to 60 or 90 days, or even up to 6 months. These stays are customized according to the client needs. For example, a client may need 10 days in the PHP level of treatment (living in supervised living), then continue with an IOP level of intensity of 5 days per week (living independently) and gradually moving to 3 or 4 days per week. This process, if it is truly responding to individual’s needs, will result in a different length of stay for different people. Still, the average stay fluctuates between 30 days and 6 weeks.
We take all policies that give clients the option to choose providers, usually called PPOs. We cannot accept health managed organization policies, usually called HMOs. HMOs have a pre-determined list of providers, and their clients are limited to choosing a provider from this list only.
We do not have a wait list at this time, but this is a very temporary situation, as we are committed to keeping our number of clients very low.
Discharge and aftercare planning are crucial and are the most neglected part of treatment. We begin the process of discharge and aftercare planning when the client first walks through our doors – thinking about where they will live after treatment and with whom, where they will work, etc. We work closely with the people in our clients’ lives – family, work, lawyers, referrers, and probation officers – in order to prevent relapse.
Aftercare planning is crucial because it allows us to work at solving all of the client’s life challenges while they are in treatment. This means that we do not wait until the last week, or day, before helping the client think about the life that they are going back to.
We work and coordinate with detox centers very closely. We work together in providing a smooth transition from detox to treatment, which ensures the client’s comfort and quality of both levels of care.
We are available to our referrers 24 hrs a day. Referring professionals can call 888-448-4467 or fill out the form below and give us the potential client’s initial contact information. We reach out to the client, offer immediate support and hope, and collect intake and assessment information. Then we remain in contact with them. We make travel arrangements, receiving clients personally, and admit them to treatment.
Throughout this process we work very closely with our referring treatment professionals, keeping them informed of every step of the process and consequent treatment.
