The optimal treatment for most, if not all, mental health conditions is a combination of medication and psychotherapy.

Because most mental health conditions also involve a physical factor, that combination has been proven to be the most effective.

Conditions such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and schizophrenia have physiological responses that are treated with medication. Then therapy is used to help the person learn how to live in the world with their condition.

By the time individuals with these conditions become adults, they have gone through YEARS of rejection, punishment, criticism, and being ostracised as children – all of which contribute to low self-esteem and poor self-concept. This is what’s addressed in therapy.

If this sounds like something you or a loved one has struggled with, you are not alone. We are here to help and happy to do so.
